About

I am a computer scientist from EAFIT with an MSc in cybersecurity and privacy from UOC. Today I am a Tech Lead at Pyxis, where I design AWS architectures for financial sector clients and lead the technical academy: the bet that a team that learns together builds better.

Before the cloud there was metal. For eight years, from its creation, I ran Apolo, EAFIT’s scientific computing center: high performance clusters serving researchers who needed more compute than their desks could hold. There I learned that infrastructure is a means, and that the user is almost never at fault.

These past years I have been bringing security and networking to a trade that needs them: the audiovisual industry. I give talks and workshops at conferences across Latin America, with live demos and open materials, about what happens when video runs over IP and nobody thought about the network.

Off the clock I am a ham radio operator: SDR, CW, antennas and embedded systems that manufacture excuses to solder. All of it coexists with a homelab that, by definition, will never be finished.
